DAY 1: MARRAKECH - AIT BENHADDOU - OUARZAZATE - ROSE VALLEY - DADES GORGES

After picking you up from your hotel, we'll go out into the High Atlas Mountains. On the journey to the Unesco-listed Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, you'll pass through scenic countryside dotted with traditional Berber communities. Gladiator is only one of several movies that have been filmed there. Ouarzazate and the Taourirt Kasbah are on our itinerary after our guided tour. After lunch, we'll travel through the beautiful Skoura palm grove on our way to the Valley of the Roses. You will check into a hotel or Riad in Dades Valley for the night.

DAY 2:  DADES GORGES - TODRA GORGES  - TINJDAD - MERZOUGA DESERT

Following breakfast, we went off to discover the lush Todra Valley, a verdant agricultural center surrounded by traditional mud settlements. The next stop is the Todra Gorges, a 300-meter-high canyon surrounded by palm groves and Berber villages. We will depart for Erfoud and the Sahara Desert after lunch. It's a camel ride across the desert's famous golden dunes. Our camel driver will halt so you may take in the view from atop a towering dune, and then continue on to the tent after the sun has set. We enjoy the Berber music and dance to it after supper.

DAY 3:  MERZOUGA - ALNIF - AGDEZ - DRAA VALLEY - OUARZAZATE

Following an early morning viewing of the dawn, we'll hit the road in search of the longest river in Morocco and the breathtaking Draa valley, passing by villages such as Alnif, Nkoub, and Agdez along the way. In order to go to Ouarzazate, we'll have to travel through the anti Atlas Mountains. Kafe (or tent) for the night and meals included.

DAY 4:  OUARZAZATE - THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS - MARRAKECH

Once we've finished eating, we'll go out into the High Atlas Mountains and across the renowned Tizi-na-Tichka pass, winding through Berber villages on route to your riad in Marrakech and the end of the journey.
